Product Introduction

This is an EPON ONU device. As compared to other broadband access technologies such as xDSL and cable modem, Passive Optical Network (PON) technology offers some compelling advantages, including a long-term life expectancy of the fiber infrastructure, lower operating costs through the reduction of active components, support for greater distances between equipment nodes, and most importantly, much greater bandwidth.
It adopts PAS6301 chipset, AC488 chipset and Marvell 88E6045 switch, which provide the core functionality of 802.3ah EPON and VOIP.

• Full management through an Operation Administration Management
• (OAM) protocol based on IEEE 802.3ah
• Eight priority queues with multi-protocol classifier, including:
• VLAN manipulation and QoS support
• 802.1p priority, IPv6 and Ipv4
• IP address and TCP/UDP port (both source and destination)
• Support for CTC technical requirements including a 24-bit triple churning encryption for downstream and a dedicated rate limiting mode for Multicast/Broadcast frames
